Preparing
meat or poultry to receive Havin’ An Affair © Gourmet BBQ Sauce is simple
and easy, but requires time. The results are well worth the wait!!
To prepare Award Winning Pork
Ribs…..
Prepare pork ribs racks on a gas grill at low heat for
12-15 minutes on each side, until cooked through. Baste each side of
rib racks with Havin’ An Affair © Gourmet BBQ Sauce at least twice, while
continuing to grill for 3-4 minutes per side. This will ensure the
flavor is fully developed and the meat falls from the bone!
To prepare People’s Choice
Chicken Wings…..
Deep fry medium sized chicken wings for 8-10 minutes in hot vegetable
oil. Drain well.
Coat
wings generously with Havin’ An Affair © Gourmet BBQ Sauce and grill over
mesquite charcoal or gas grill for 3-4 minutes, turning once after 2
minutes. Re-coat wings in Havin’ An Affair © Gourmet BBQ Sauce and serve.
Additional tips.....
- Lighting
charcoal - Don't dowse it with lighter fluid and set off a firebomb in
your backyard. Options include minimal Lighter Fluid, Charcoal
Chimneys, Electric Charcoal Starters, Self-Lighting Charcoal, Charcoal
Lighting Cubes or simply a flame and patience.
- Grill hot dogs and hamburgers early while the coals
are hot
- Grill chicken on medium coals
- Grill ribs over coals that have burned white and
provide steady, even low temp cooking.
- Use
of bastes or basting sauces often referred to as mops are the true
heart of barbecue. These solutions keep the meat moist and infuse it
with flavor while cooking. Use a good mopping brush and baste
frequently with Havin' An Affair © Gourmet BBQ Sauce for events to
remember.
- When
frying wings if oil is too hot it breaks down and starts smoking. The
oil you were relying on to prevent sticking and add flavor fails to
perform and alters flavor. Avoid overheating fine oils for the best
cooking results.
